  • Familiarize yourself with the video conferencing software, and if possible, do a test connection with a friend prior to your meeting.
  • Pick a private and quiet well-lit place to meet with a simple background (or virtual background). Allow yourself to be the focal point on the screen.
  • If possible, make sure your device is stationary at eye level so you can sit in a naturally comfortable position.
  • Join the meeting a few minutes early to check your connection, audio, and video settings.
  • Be prepared with a topic of interest and any questions in mind.

How does coaching work? I will work with you to create an action plan to help you find happiness and success in whatever areas you want to work on. You’ll generally talk on the phone or on Skype about once a week, and work at your own pace to resolve tough spots and highlight successes.

How much does ongoing coaching cost? Setting the right price between experience and affordability is important. A sliding scale permits us to deliver the most services at the most affordable rates. Generally Certified Coach Practitioners charge between $150 and $250 an hour for a single session, with coaching packages offering deep discounts depending on the length of the engagement.

Sliding Scale Practices at Virtu Coaching, LLC

We believe that professional coaching should be available to everyone. Please select the tier of pricing which reflects what you need and where you are at.

  • Blue Tier: This tier generally applies to you if you are comfortably able to meet all of your basic needs, have access to financial security or financial savings, own property, have regular access to healthcare, have expendable income or can buy new items, can afford to take time off from work or take vacations. You have economic power and privilege in our community, and can use that to pay a slightly higher cost so that products and services remain sustainable for us to create, and accessible for everyone to receive. $120/hr
  • Green Tier: is for those who find themselves reflected in neither descriptions for the highest cost or the lowest. This might looks like working to pay off debt/build savings or move away from paycheck to paycheck living, but having access to steady income and not spending most of your time thinking about meeting basic needs such as food, shelter, medical care, child care, etc. This is generally the cost that would be charged in the absence of a sliding scale. $85/hr
  • Purple Tier acknowledges that systems  create economic circumstances that prevent people from accessing care/services. If you struggle to maintain access to needs such as health care, housing, food, child care, and are living paycheck to paycheck or are in significant debt, this tier is for you. Your financial contribution is equally and gratefully received. $50/hr

Please remember that a sliding scale is grounded in trust; you choose what is right for you, no questions asked. Talking about, and investigation relationships to money is hard; but it’s a conversation and inquiry that we feel is a crucial piece in community resiliency and accountability.
